Coffee
Coffee works great if you're looking to go darker, cover gray hair, or add dimension to dark tresses. Just brew strong coffee (espresso works well), cooling and mixing leaves a cup with a few cups of leave-in conditioner and 2 tablespoons of ground coffee.
Walnut Shells
If you want to secure a dark brown color, this is the way to go. Crush the walnut shells and cook for about half an hour. Cool, strain, and apply to hair. If you want to cover gray, you can use a cotton ball to apply only to those areas where it is needed. Again, be careful as this dye will stain everything, so take precautions.
Beet and Carrot Juice
These two juices can add natural red tones in your current color. Depending on which color you want, you can use individually or mix them together. For a more reddish hue, use more beet juice. Root will produce a quieter orange.
This is easy just apply over a cup of juice to your hair. You can also mix in some argan oil to condition the hair at the same time. Work it out, wrap the hair and leave for at least an hour. Rinse the juice out, and closes with apple cider vinegar spray. If the color is not dark enough, repeat the following day.
Henna
One of the most popular natural hair coloring ingredients, henna is a powder form of the leaves that are out of the henna plant. The leaves have a natural and efficient color pigment that has been used for thousands of years, hair, nails and skin dye.
Natural henna, on its own, creates a red-orange color, so if you see products made with henna with other colors, realize the manufacturers have mixed henna with other ingredients to achieve these colors. Red heads and mostly brunettes can be the best users for this option. But you need to be careful with henna, the results can be more orange than you want so you may want to mix a little chamomile in with the pasta to tame the color.
Tea
Such as coffee, black tea can help to go darker, and can also help cover gray hair. If you lighten her, though, there are other types of teas that you can use. Chamomile, for example, is recommended for blondes, while rooibos can work for redheads.
Please note that tea works best with your natural color. You will not be able to put brunette blonde hair. But black tea may blond hair darker and chamomile can, especially lighter if you sit in the sun while you're at.
